Our

Training Program

EMDR Training with EMDR Consultancy is a highly interactive learning experience whether you attend in person or online. We have found the right balance between theoretical and practical work, live demonstrations and videos showing the effectiveness of EMDR with different client presentations.

Our training, accredited by EMDR Europe, consist of 7 days divided into 3 parts. It is a staged programme that enables participants to consolidate and build on the theory and practice of the standard 8-phase protocol and to build up their skills and experience. The best way to learn EMDR is to experience it directly as both a clinician and a client, where participants will work on their own material.

Throughout the training programme there is ample opportunity to do this where participants work in small groups on their personal material to practice the protocol, with the assistance of the trainer and an experienced EMDR facilitator and consultant.

At EMDR consultancy we want you to fully integrate EMDR Therapy into your clinical practice. During the course, a total of 10 hours supervision is included but in order to support you to get the most out of your training experience we offer two extra EMDR clinical supervision groups, one between parts 1 & 2 and another between parts 2 & 3.

The training was really good – it’s been a long time since I’ve had training that was so interesting & engaging. Whilst that’s due in part to the topic itself, a big part was due to the facilitators being so experienced & knowledgeable, being able to create a containing safe space, and being so confident in EMDR itself. The videos were really helpful too. And the technology worked so well – other recent trainers have been dire in this regard and this makes a big difference to engagement levels I feel. Thanks again!

All three parts of basic training must be completed before attending Part 2 of an EMDR Child & Adolescent training.

Accreditation as an EMDR Europe Practitioner

On completion of this training you will receive the EMDR Europe Certificate of Completion, and will be able to practice EMDR with complex clients and work towards becoming an accredited practitioner with UK EMDR Association. As supervision is an integral part of the training, you will have accrued 10 hours of supervision towards the required 20 hours to become accredited.

Very informative, interesting and useful training course. Facilitators were personable and knowledgeable. Looking forward to applying EMDR in my practice. Thank you!
