Terms and Conditions

Payment policy:
    • Payment must be received with a completed application form prior to the training date to ensure a place.
    • If an employer is funding your training we require written confirmation from them of their undertaking to pay, subject to the terms and conditions set out below. This confirmation should accompany your application form, with a purchase order or requisition number to be quoted on the invoice, where applicable.
Change of date – transferring to another cohort:
    • You may transfer to any other training with us free of charge up to 4 weeks prior to your training. After that a £50 + VAT administration charge will apply. Transfers are subject to availability.
Cancellation policy:
    • All cancellations must be made via email.
    • No refunds are permitted when a cancellation is made less than 4 weeks prior to the start of your training. Between 4 and 8 weeks a 50% refund will be made.
    • A full refund will be offered if you cancel your training 8 weeks or more before the start of the training
    • In the unlikely event that EMDR Consultancy postpones or cancels a training session for reasons outside of our control, a full refund will be given or alternative dates arranged, or we will replace our EMDR Trainer with another qualified trainer from out team. EMDR Consultancy will not be liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by yourself.
Substituting Delegates:
    • We will consider a request to substitute a delegate from the same organisation if the original delegate is no longer able to attend. There will be an administrative charge of £50 + VAT to make this change.
Training requirements:
    • There shall be at least 8 weeks between training parts to allow for practice and supervision, according to regulations set out by the accrediting body, EMDR Europe.
    • Attendance in full at all training days and supervision groups is needed in order to receive the final CPD certificate of attendance.
    • Use EMDR Therapy with a minimum of three clients over the duration of the training.

A key requirement of the training is to undertake practicums, where participants will be asked to work in pairs and triads on real issues using the tools of EMDR Therapy under the supervision of an experienced EMDR Consultant. While we find that participants value this opportunity, both as therapist and client, the experience for some can be triggering.

EMDR training includes full and in-depth video material of real life EMDR sessions. This can be a very powerful experience to witness, and for some people may be triggering. By registering for EMDR training, and recognising that participation can involve both observation and personal experience of trauma processing, participants agree to take appropriate responsibility for their own emotional wellbeing, and to ensure they have access to any necessary therapeutic and/or supervisory support following the training.

By submitting the application form you agree you have read and accepting these Terms and Conditions.
